Ameet Mehta - Managing Director
Ameet is the Managing Director of Rawlings Atlantic where he provides board-level strategic and operational advisory to global and emerging companies, focusing on business start-up and turnaround, strategic growth, commercial due diligence and fund raising support.
In addition to serving as a board member, Ameet takes an active role in Rawlings venture investments including Director of Rejuv Laser Clinic (that utilizes a new method for the rejuvenation and re-growth of hair using a holistic approach and patented laser technology) and served as Managing Director of 43 South Molton (a Mayfair based private members club he co-founded in 2005, sold in 2007).
In 2003 he lead the buyout of Defcom Information Security Services, where he also served as the interim Managing Director. His recent transactions include securing £5.7M in venture funding for a London-based technology company and has led Rawlings teams on diverse global assignments from providing strategic and structural advisory services to a Geneva based private equity fund to advising on the merger between Middle Eastern media groups. His sector specialities include technology, health care, media and outsourcing.
Prior to Rawlings, Ameet was a Venture Partner with antfactory, a global technology investment firm, as well as serving as Chief Operating Officer for three portfolio companies from the start-up to wind-down phases. In 1999, he left Silicon Valley to help found Go Industries, now a leading European industrial equipment exchange, and has over 17 years of experience in technology, strategy and product management working in North America, Asia and Europe for Sun Microsystems, Bain & Company, Accenture, Microsoft and IBM serving an array of global clients in the private and public sectors.
Ameet holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is a frequent speaker and panelist on issues of entrepreneurship and starting and growing businesses.
